My other dogs all love their crates. Lady desperately wanted to sleep loose in the house last night. That was all she'd known. I just wanted to help her relax. I also learned that she'd never been on ceramic tile. My kitchen floor is tiled, and it scared her. I had to help her onto the carpet, 'cause she was whimpering.

Poor Lady! So many new things one would never think about for her to discover and adapt to. I hope she becomes accustomed to it soon. I still think she is sooo pretty!
A friends dog will not walk on their new laminate flooring. Al and I were there helping to install it, (well Al was helping Eddie, Betty and I were making food) it was almost done, when dog wanted to come inside. Since workers were taking a break, dog was let in. Came in full of energy, full speed, and found traction a bit iffy. Tried to stop and slammed into furniture. Ever since, she will only come in as far as the rug at the doorway. If they want her in further, must put down a rug runway for her. It is sadly funny to watch her, she has discovered as long as she has 2 feet on the rug, she has traction, but will not get all 4 feet off that rug.

Poor fella. At least he found a solution that works for him..... have the servants lay down a carpet. I don't know how well it works for your friends, though.

The chook is in the fridge, getting ready for tomorrow. Now I'm waiting for IH to lock up his vermin (goats) so we can weigh the steers. IH has disappeared. He doesn't like my way of getting vermin out of the way.... lead poisoning.

AC unit all installed and house is cooling off nicely. The guy even installed a new digital thermostat. He told us the new unit is much more energy efficient and we should see saving on our electric bill.

Good morning everyone.
We had a lovely baked dinner last night at Renae's.It was a bit late because of the new stove, they thought it was cooking but it was only the fan on.Hehe.
The 5 grandkids played in the sprinkler and were sliding on a tarp which had the girls laughing hysterically. There is something about babies laughing that makes you laugh also.
My knee feels heaps better after the celebrex tabs.May leave it a bit longer before making the specialist appoint.
Hope you are all enjoying the Easter break.
I'm off to work for afternoon shift later.Catch you all in a few days time.

Happy Easter everyone!
I have found my glasses, they were buried in one of the bags we took away with us, so am finally catching up on the puzzles! Thought I would hyperventilate from withdrawal...

Nola, glad your knee feels better. The day with family sounds like sooo much fun. Kids' laughter is contagious, unfortunately so are their snarls. I'm still learning to ignore those!

Tami, great news about the AC.
MizT, the dog whisperer would have a cure for the laminate flooring problem - in fact I think I've seen a dog with a similar problem on there. Lurve the dog whisperer!!

Nola, I couldn't get over the size of some of the 'fish' and the colours were amazing! It was actually my second time at the aquarium, but the first time I was helping to supervise a bunch of high school kids and didn't get to see much of it...
Ebob spent most of her time on the phone or internet while we were away. That is taking some getting used to! She has always avoided the phone up until recently.

Good Morning SA 8. Just hopping by to wish you all a happy Easter Sunday. Hope there is lots of family fun and lots of Easter Egg hunting. I loved the cartoon in today's paper - because of the GFC everyone has to find the easter eggs they failed to find last year! Happy Easter.

Love the cartoon Kate! Went and told my family as we are missing a few coloured eggs still!!
Nola, I went to Hamilton Island many many years ago - before I met my husband! We didn't go out on a glass bottom boat, but I did go snorkelling. I had tried snorkelling before and had not been comfortable breathing through the snorkel - until that day! It was so incredibly amazing that I completely forgot that I couldn't do it and did it!

What's really fun is scuba diving. (I'm a licensed scuba diver) I get horrible sunburns snorkeling. But I haven't done any diving in years. Too far from the ocean now.

Hello, SA8! Happy Easter to all! I know some are already well into the day, while we must wait until "tomorrow." Now I hope to read a few comments.
Early to bed tonight, as hubby gets up at 4 am to leave for a quick trip to check in on his Mom's sisters - one about 95 or 96, the other in early 80's, I think.

Hi, Heidi! Yes, he is a good man, for which I am lucky. Of course, I have on occasion found something to complain about.
He will get back late Monday night, so I will have a quiet Easter, as our children and grandchildren are in other states.

Happy Easter! I hope you are all well. Spring has finally come to my little corner of the world. Taus and Kyle haven't had much tree work to do lately so they are putting in a fence for the dogs. It will be so nice to let them out of the house without being tied up. I've only been asking for a fence since we got Nuka.

Checking in before my bedtime here.
Heidi, why am I no9t surprised that you are a licensed scuba diver?
Suzy, do not think I could breathe through a snorkel either. I tried it when much younger, did not work for me. The glass bottomed boat would be more my speed. You watch the dog whisperer? We watched him for a while, have not seen him in a while.
We found all our Easter Eggs last year, guess we are sort of out of luck this year then.
I was right about Al getting into Sunday dinner early. He found the cake and cut himself a big slice. Well, no biggie, as far as I know will just be the 2 of us here for Sunday dinner. Let him enjoy it.

Tricia I met Pete scuba diving... LOVED scuba diving but it is a very long time now since I last donned a tank. I nearly drowned the night I met Pete and developed a bit of a phobia about diving after that...which was a bit of a pity. I was pretty fit and active back then.

Bean, I hope you're feeling better! Maybe you can find some half-price Easter goodies on Monday?
By the way, who knows which of us submitted the Easter egg avatar first? I just think we must have similar taste that we both like it. I don't think we ever used it on the same day.

Hubby and I took scuba diving lessons and got mostly certified. Then he had to have emergency cataract repair surgery, then I got sciatica, then he got sciatica. I think we have given up on ever finishing. But it was fun!

Nice to hear that spring has arrived Rena...how high can Nuka jump...will it have to be a very high fence? Jessie was very happy to find the spare room door open and found a comfy spot on the bed in the sun!!

Our fence will be 6 and 1/2 feet. 6 feet is the recommended minimum for huskies. I'm not sure how high Nuka can jump but it would be Sindy I would expect to jump. She is the trouble-maker.
