Is anyone too old for the Easter Bunny? She knows who it is but still likes to get the treats.

I know my oldest still got an Easter Basket, left by the Easter Bunny when she was wall into her teenage years, but with a sister 10 years younger, she "played along" for little sisters sake, and for the Easter goodies in their baskets.

My girls kept the same basket for many years. One year, I found really well made baskets, at an incredible price the Monday after Easter. first year, they were a surprise, but after that, they had to put the empty baskets by the front door to be filled. Means I had to assemble all the goodies after they went to bed!

Julie I haven't seen you use this egg...I was saving it to I use only at Easter but when I lost our connection / it became very unreliable I decided to drag it out. We do have similar taste in avatars...I really like your avatars.

Good Night, MizT. Good Night, everyone! We must be asleep for the Easter bunny to come!
Oh, by the way, one year the Easter bunny visited my Mom & Dad's house when we were visiting and brought fancy tooth brushes for our kids!

I'm off to bed, too, so maybe the Easter Bunny will come here. Though I doubt it.

Happy Easter everyone. Missing you all.
I'm signed in on my friend's pooter, the wonderful people who have accommodated us while we are in Adelaide.
Today we were at my father's house belatedly celebrating his 80th, which was on the 3rd. My oldest sister was there from Sydney, and along with my brother and his family, we all scattered Mum's ashes in the garden she loved so much. Bill (Dad) had bought some beautiful little silver boxes to put some of Mum into for each of us. He just is the most fantastic man.

Happy Easter everyone! It's been a very busy day and I'm very tired now, so we're heading off to bed in a minute, but I just stopped in to read the news. I've just realised that I only had two mini eggs today! Of course there's a pile on the bench, but I just didn't get around to eating them - too full of chicken and vegies with tasty gravy; low-fat raspberry cheesecake and yummy bavarian cream. Everyone got on nicely together, though my son was very quiet all day. Later found out that he'd been out "on the town" the night before and wasn't feeling the best - and I kept offering him more cheesecake! The girls spent most of their time discussing bridesmaids' dresses (at the moment the concensus is in favour of red, though purple was also considered) We all ate too much, but we're off to the gym tomorrow, so will work some of it off! Hope everyone else (had/will have) a happy day too! :)

I was interested to find how many visitors to this site are (or were) scuba-divers. Tried this during my Uni years - anyone who hasn't read my sad story of folly and failure can find it, along with similar misadventures, in the archives of 20th Mar 2009 (Hard) Not exactly heart-warming, but some found it amusing (I cannot think why!) Lucy's story is similarly touching. ;)

Lachie and I have just been discussing what a strange day it has been without eggs...first time in 18 years that we've had no eggs or an easter egg hunt!! I usually have such fun hiding the eggs that I end up forgetting where I've put them! Hot cross buns have been good tho!!

My sister and her family are paying me a surprise visit in 3 hours. We haven't spoken in years, not since she told me how much she hated an resented me, and how badly I ruined her relationships with the rest of the family. She's never apologized. This should be interesting. I'm not a forgiving person if the person hasn't asked to be forgiven.

I thought I had written a post this morning. It did not make it to the board. Huumm, might not have been posted, I think it was still waiting for me to push the button when Hubby came in with my computer to install.
HOPPY EASTER is what it said, and a few comments to people who had posted, sorry I have forgotten those.
I am back on MY computer, means I now have MSN again, yeah!
Heidi, might indeed be an interesting day at your house. I hope it turns out well. She is reaching out by coming to visit. Apologizing is hard for some people. Do let us know how it goes. Are you serving Easter dinner?
TAMI, Easter Bunny forgot to leave goodies here! I might do as I mentioned to Bean, visit the marked down goodies bins tomorrow when I have to go to town hehehe. I need jelly beans, black jelly beans. My Dad and I used to hunt all of them out of a bag and share, cause no one but us 2 liked them! Always think of him when I have a black jelly bean!

News Story of the day: OOOPS
VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) - Washington state environmental regulators say they've finally found the source of pollution that has been fouling a creek near Vancouver Lake: the agency's own sewer pipes.
City workers have discovered that an office building's sewer line was mistakenly connected to a storm drain, rather than the municipal sewer main.
The 1970s-vintage building houses Washington state Department of Ecology regional offices, as well as those of the Department of Fish and Game and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Sewage from the building has been making its way into Burnt Bridge Creek and eventually into the lake. Jay Manning, the environmental agency's director, says the discovery was "embarrassing and upsetting."
The building owner is paying for repairs.

The thing about this sister is: When she was a child, I was the only one in the family that showed her any love. I was the only one who did things with her, encouraged her, took photos of her, read to her at night, and let her know that she wasn't the problem, it was the rest of the family. (they either ignored her or ridiculed her). I am 12 years older than her, but acted more like her mother than her mother did. The only pleasant childhood memories she has are due to me. I stayed around a lot longer than I should have just for her. So it hurt like crazy when she decided that the rest of the family was wonderful, and I was the cause of all her problems.

Happy Easter All....
Heidi, I can just imagine how hurt you must have been when you had invested so much love and concern in your sister's early years. Perhaps that investment of time and love is what has brought about the need for her to make this visit. A surprised one, so that you would not have time to reject her.
Miz T is correct in saying that she may well be reaching out to you, yet unable to make a verbal apology. May your heart be as open today to her as it was early on, and recognize that people do change.
May Peace find you both at the right time...What the world needs is more love.
Many of us celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus today. One who was hated, spat upon and crucified with thieves...yet he forgives us daily....Hoping that we can find a lesson in His example.

When she called a few hours ago, I did NOT reject her visit. But I'm not thrilled, either. The things she screamed at me, out of the blue, were really nasty. I haven't gotten over it yet.

Morning all!
Heidi, I hope you haven't posted for a while because she showed and you are talking. I hope it works out.
Gail, your Dad sounds wonderful. What a lovely gesture. A beautiful though emotional day.
There are no eggs left in the shops here already (probably the tourists!) so no sale eggs here.
Bean, that would have been a difficult day for both of you. I have never had an easter without eggs (or bunnies), even though I buy them myself. I can't imagine!!
