MizT - that certainly is an oops! Several people had to miss that! Red faces all around...
Julie - the toothbrush gift came from a clever easter bunny!

Off to see if hubby needs help making dinner. The kids wanted a big brunch today(Jerry's famous belgium waffles) so dinner is at the normal time rather than in the middle of the afternoon.
Have a great day/evening everyone!

May everyone be experiencing peace today, espcially Heidi and her sister! We're all thinking of you and hoping your sister learns to see you as we do, Heidi. Mamacita said it all very well! Thank you, Mamacita! I hope your day goes well, too. I have been thinking many positive thoughts for my fellow Sudokuaholics today!
(No chocolate eggs or bunnies here, either, so I hope to find some tomorrow for half price.)

My sister just left. We had a nice visit.
The Collies were a major hit.... they loved the kids, and vice versa. Lady really loves people.... she spent the whole time begging to be petted.

They got to meet just about all the animals, but the dogs were the favorites with the kids. My BIL was shocked at how well behaved they all were.

Well it is raining here non stop now.
I have just sat out on the front porch and completed the days crosswords without having to resort to the dictionary or computer.

BEAN, are you feeling better friend? I hope you enjoy your nice day today. go and buy those half price Easter treats for you and Lachie.
We have rain here too, and some thunder. Hopefully nothing severe tonight, but forecast did say some chance of large hail over night. Hope not. On this metal roof, would sound like giants bowling with square bowling balls hehehe

Hi everyone!
Heidi, I'm so happy that your sister's visit was a happy one! I guess she's been regretting the past and wants to get you back into her family's life. I hope the good relationship continues. :)

Tricia I'm feeling heaps better than I was 2 weeks ago but it is taking me a while to completely throw this bug off. I have a really silly little snoz that apart from looking a little ridiculous fails to allow the sinuses to drain and it always takes forever for me to clear up an attack sinusitis. This in turn stirs the asthma up!! A few more beautiful autumn days like today and I should be getting there.
Haven't been able to go and buy the treats because Pete is out taking his mum shopping...we only have car... got rid of a car a few years ago because it was just cluttering up the driveway... it was used so infrequently that the battery was ALWAYS flat...it wasn't worth paying the on road costs. Pete rides his bike everywhere and Lachie takes advantage of the fact we live near a railway line...Things may have to change now that Lachie is wanted to get out driving more... I'll be fighting for the car keys once he has his license.

Hi Bean.
How old is Lachie? Ethan turns 16 on August 11th and of course wants to get the Learners permit. Aarrgghhhh. He has started saving for a car already but he will have to learn in ours. Its an automatic Commodore.
We will have to increase the insurance cover of course. I must look into this and see what that's going to cost.

Evening all!
Just watching Ally beat hubby at Monopoly - and when I say beat, I mean he has absolutely no cash and is mortgaging properties to pay rent...
Bean, glad to hear you are starting to feel better.
Viv, hopefully Ethan will have a chance to drive a manual so he can do the test in one. It will give him more options when he is buying...

Viv Lachie is 18 and I must remember to have a chat to the insurance company...Thanks for reminding me!
Yah Ally...way to go!!! I HATE being beaten at Monopoly...Lachie always seems to have me ending up mortgaged to the hilt. Cluedo is more my style where I can use my powers of deduction...more reliable than the roll of a dice!

Have not read back but only this page, so I will not make any comments on subjects that I don't yet know about, except to say...Heidi, I gather you DID get the two other dogs and that you have had a visit from your sister that must have had some history attached. I know how that feels, and sincerely hope all went well.
Re insurance for learner's, do discuss it with your insurance company as they are all different. Ours did not increase the premiums for use by a learner driver, but they did put a notation onto our policy that it was going to be driven occasionally by a learner. When D#1 had an accident in it while someone else was teaching her, the insurance company payed out, no dramas at all (BTW the accident was caused by someone else reversing out of a car park without looking properly and t-boned the passenger door).
