Did you Sis got to the nationals Gail? I got to go to Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane! Don't know how my family afforded it.

Hi Suzy, I can just picture you as a marching girl. My hair still forms ringlets. I did not have curls when I was younger. I always brushed them out. One day, in my early 20's, I went swimming and did not have a chance to brush my hair. My natural curls came out.

Tami, if I'm not careful I get ringlets in my fringe! The streaks/highlights I just got help stop that though, a bit straighter with them in.

Hi All! Hope everyone had a chance to reflect on Anzac Day. I am a military wife, so I am very appreciative of the service our military provides. My hubby is retiring from the Air National Guard in August. He was in the Army before we met and Army Nat'l Guard until he switched to AFNG 3 years ago. I am fortunate that he was not deployed overseas during our marriage. We have a friend going to Iraq in June. Have a great day everyone!

Hi all. I posted some pictures on my page (temporarily) of baby Gouldian finches so you can see what they look like. It's hard to believe that anything so gorgeous can start out so homely.

MizT asked what they would look like. Mine haven't hatched yet, if they even do. They eggs are about the size of the fingernail on my little finger. SO tiny!

News story of the day - not a proud part of Australian history, but something we should remember so nothing like it will happen again..

It's ok Broni, you can sit in my seat. I have to move my fat and spotty and gets some things done around here, like feed the cats, their eyes are boring holes into me, and get hubby a cup of coffee...there's no talking to him till he has one!
Catch you later everyone.

Gail - I wanted to go into the Shrine..it is so close for me. How about we go together next year...you can have a sleepover here the night before so you don't have to get up so early.

Broni I keep getting an urge to jump on a plane and come and gatecrash your 'do'... you had best send me your address in case the urge gets to much for me!!! I think I will probably go to Cairns instead...a friend has invited me up there for a week in what looks like a very luxurious setting....
If that wasn't a few weeks after your do it wouldn't be such a dilemma....I really should spend the Krudd money on some of the maintenance that is badly needed around the house ....

Thanks for all the comments about the hubby!!! He makes me proud. When we lived in California, I had him wear his dress green uniform to my office Christmas party. He & I were shocked at all the positive comments from my co-workers. He was part of Homeland Security here in Utah. Even though he was not overseas, I am STILL extremely proud of him and proud of my status as a military wife. We have a very close friend going to Iraq in June. I will update with details on that as time gets closer.

Hi everyone.
Just back from the local march which took all of thirty seconds to go past, and that was with all the local scout, guide and brownie troupes marching as well! Dear old Bob was driven in the back of a vintage car, which was very sweet. The service that followed was beautiful and touching.

Hi Gail: Sounds like our Memorial Day parade here. We're in a VERY small town outside of Salt Lake City. Our parade is about 20-30 minutes long. Be proud that you participated. By the way, who is Dear old Bob??

Bob is the current president of our local RSL branch (Returned and Services League). I would imagine he is the oldest ex-serviceman of the area, and he was very shaky in his voice today.
