It seems that SA7 is getting old and slow. It is time for a new page. Welcome to SA8.

IH is very impatient right now. He wants to use his gun. Long story, which I've spared you all from hearing, 'cause it's been unpleasant. We've been having serious predator problems. A coy-dog (coyote/ dog cross) leading a pack of coyotes, has been decimating my sheep. So far they've gotten 8 or 10 ewes and numerous lambs. I just hired a professional trapper, who now has snares and leg traps set up around the remains of carcasses. He found where they're getting into the sheep night pen, and that's boobytrapped. With any luck (we're due for some) we'll get the coy-dog. He's the worst one.

Heidi, I hope you're feeling a bit better. Watching vids sounds like the best thing you could be doing, apart from being curled up in your nice warm bed! (Maybe you can do both)

Heidi, sorry to hear about your coy-dog problem - hope you get the wretched creature before he gets any more of your sheep.

A coy-dog is worse than a coyote, because it kills for the fun of it. A coyote only kills what it needs to survive. This particular one is big, too. It's a coyote- German Shepherd cross. This is the sort of thing that's produced when people let their dogs run loose.

I add my good luck Heidi with the coy problem. Here we have serious problems with foxes, an introduced species. They are forever getting into chook pens. I would hate to lose sheep though, that would be devastating.

Good Evening, Fellow Sudokuaholics! Well, I got all of 5 pages read, and I have no idea of what is happening currently, except for the coyote-dog cross which is bothering Heidi's sheep. I hope it can be caught and destroyed soon!

My best to all of you! I hope to be back tomorrow to read a few more pages, but have an all-day seminar to attend to first. Good Night, All!

Hi Gail! Having a very quiet day today - Rob's listening to old (loud) music, so I'm just doing puzzles. ;)

I was all set to go out and burn-off a pile but all of a sudden, my eyes are feeling very itchy, a sure sign that I am tired and possibly needing a nana nap. Been up since 5am this morning, a very early morning for me!
Later alligator.

I'm off to bed, too. Dripping with sweat.... it's not THAT hot.... and tired.

I've given IH permission to take his shotgun out to the snares first thing in the morning. If anything is caught, he can blow it away. That thrills him.

Good afternoon lovely SA8 people.
Lest we forget.
Went to see grandies march this morning and stayed, of course, for the service. the speaker was Campbell Newman - Lord Mayor of Brisbane.
Like someone else said (Gail or Bean?) the Ode to the Fallen always brings a tear to the eye.
Also, agree with you Gail - it is nice to see so many young people with dreadlocks, tats, piercings etc - but there because they want to be.

Our friends coming back from Ethiopia are just leaving Singapore as we speak - got a text message from them - so all is to plan.
Someone asked the little one's age - he is 11 months old.
I will post more in the morning but although I will have pics, I can't post them and invade their privacy.
Soooooo excited!! I'm going to be a (sort-of) aunt again.

Back again, for a minute. On weekends Rob likes to take his turn in the kitchen - he's become quite adventurous! Tonight we're having fried rice and homemade wontons - labour intensive, but looking good so far! :)

Good morning all. Just stopping in for a quick hello. Meeting mom soon to go shopping. It is my older brother's birthday today. Have to pick on him just a little
He tried telling me I was getting old once and I gladly reminded him that no matter how old I was, he would always be older.

For the record, Suzanne refers to her parents as a Witch and a Fool. If you don't understand, read back a page or two.

Good Mean Sudolukand. I am out of bed for the second time this morning, and again at the computer to say Hello. An hour ago, I could not make up my mind to stay up and sew or go back to bed. Well, after 10 typos a line in my post, and then hitting some combination of keystrokes that sent it into cyberspace, I decided I should go back to bed!

Lovely cool air again this morning, I did get windows opened to bring in some cool fore I went back to bed.

I had to hunt the last year's scrub tops for Al yesterday. I had some in a box under bed, but was missing the newest ones. I thought to look in the old office in the house closet, yep, they were hanging there. Today it is give them a once over with that hot slidy thing. ONLY thing I iron, and that in summer, bummer, but 100% cotton just needs the touch of an iron.

Al got the muffler on our van, but found a leak in a heater hose. Of course it is one that cannot be easily reached, may involve jacking up motor, removing various stuff, just for a short, 8 inch heater hose in a very inaccessible place. Seems it is always something with an auto.

Suzanne, we will meet up sooner or later! I had a brief chat on MSN with Tami today fore she got away for shopping. We do seem to have a problem getting here same time also.

Heidi, better luck getting that predator. that is a lot of sheep to loose. maybe you should sit Hubby out in the pasture with his gun, all night, with orders to shoot on sight.

Hi MizTricia: It is almmost 10 a.m. here. How are you this morning? It is crappy & rainy here. Typical Utah spring...

Heidi: I like MizTricia's idea!!! We used to have problems with possum in California. I would get out there with a bb gun, I am an animal lover, but possum are GROSS!!!! Good luck, keep me posted!!
