Gail: That's so cool that he is still able to participate in the parade. Sad that he is having issues with his voice. So, what else will you do with the rest of your afternoon?? I'm typing & watching pro basketball (NBA playoffs here-- I'm a huge Los Angeles Lakers fan!!)

thanks Suzy!! I am so proud of him. He is retiring after 22 years in the Army, National Guard (both Army & Air Force). We'll be married 18 years in December. I am very lucky, he's extremely good to me!! AND my family LOVES him!!

Not sure Suzanne, it's pretty cold outside, bit too cold for gardening. I might do some whipper snipping though, that'll warm me up! Might even burn off a pile or two, like the one in a photo on my page.

Hey Gail: one question: What's whipper snipping??? Remember, I live in the States, not familiar with some of the Aussie slang.

Gail: Ok, THAT makes sense!! My hubby & I have a deal, I take care of the inside of the house, he does the outside, except for my roses & lilacs!! Those are my job. He gets to clean up after the 2 cats & our dog Heidi...I refuse to do that, that is why he nicknamed me "princess" years ago!!!

Hi Judy, just put on a face mask. Waste of time really, trying to eliminate 10 years from my face in 10 minutes - aint gonna happen - but hey, I've got to try. Too windy and nasty to be outside so doing inside stuff. Besides that, I can wash it off in the shower now - have my wongerful new heater! At least I think it is wongerful, will have to check out the water temp before I jump in...

Gday Judy. How are you doing?
Tried to by a Sym cookbook this week and I couldn't find one. I think they don't sell them any more.

Hi Suzy!! I know what you mean about face masks. I am a Mary Kay Cosmetics Consultant (for almost 11 years). I will also be 48 in October. I am starting to see my mother's face when I look in the mirror!! YIKES!!!! It's funny, I got asked for ID on my 40th birthday. I was having drinks with a friend who was 28 at that time and she wasn't asked!!!

hehe Then my job here is done.
My aim in life is to make at least one person laugh per day...preferably WITH me, not AT me!

I dream of that happening again.

Gail: Out of curiousity, I typed in Sym cookbook on MSN search and came up with Borders.com (bookstore), or maybe try Ebay or Amazon.com. Hope you can find it...or try a consignment/thrift store.

I guess you could say that!!!!!! I am very lucky. My mom & (step)dad ---I never call him that, he's raised me since I was 2 1/2.--will be married 45 years in June. They are a perfect example to me of how a marriage works!!

Hubby suggested getting it off the net too Suzanne, I think I will do just that, thank you.
Batter go now, the natives are getting restless. They figure that seeing as I have fed the kookaburras, maybe I should feed my family too! Sheesh, when is my day off?
Catch you later.

Suzanne, it is so weird that you said you are a Mary Kay consultant. Was wishing as I put my mask on that I had a number 3 mask! At least that's what they used to call it. There is a distributor living across the road from a friend of mine so once all the current bills are paid I might just contact her. It's a lot more expensive here though.

Hi Gail - Look for the Annette Sym books at the newsagents, they don't sell them at bookshops. Our newsagent has heaps of them.

Suzy: Unfortunately, I am NOT allowed to sell internationally. Wish I could!!! It is part of our agreement with Mary Kay! You could always ask her if she does discounts on old product, because I do!! I also run monthly specials. If she is not able to help you out, let me know, I may have some product in old packaging to sell.

Suzanne, I don't know about Borders - it's so much easier for me to go to the newsagent's - there'd usually one of them in every little shopping centre. Going to Borders means a much longer trip to a large shopping centre.

I guess the set-up would be different in America anyway, since the Symply... books are made in Australia.

Judy: I understand the setup might be different here, but why not try Borders.com??? Sometimes they offer free shipping...if you call them they can tell you if they have the book before you take the time to drive there. Or try WaldenBooks.com.
Hope it helps!!
