Nola, didn't you work an afternoon shift yesterday?

Quiet and cold this morning, which means the winds we had all night are finally gone! Gusts up to 70 kph, but mostly around 50 kph all night.

MizT, yep the door is locked now. I couldn't believe it when noticed. Guess we live in a safer area than we thought because we've been away for several days since we last used the door. Hmmmm People get killed, but not burgled...

I just read a news story, New Zealand children returning from a trip to Mexico have flu like symptoms now. This flu is spreading around the world, so very quickly. The good, but quite puzzling thing is, a very high percentage of persons with flu dying in Mexico has not happened in other countries. the rate of persons in Mexico with the flu dying is many times worse than with the Spanish Flu in 1917. Very Scary. Wash wash wash hands, keep them away from your mouth and nose and eyes. this is the entry point of most viruses. Take care of yourselves out there.

Heidi, are you all well? Could you possibly have the flu? If not 100% by morning, please get checked.

I've been reading about that too MizT. It is puzzling that people in Mexico are dying, but others are recovering. You have to wonder why. Could it be as simple as identification? Now docs know what they're looking for the treatment is appropriate?

Suzy, yes, that has been suggested, and also that many more people in Mexico had mild flue cases that were not reported or tested. that would change the percentage of deaths if that were the case. They are also looking at air pollution in Mexico contributing to the pneumonia that actually is the killer in this flu. Maybe they will know as time goes on.

Nice that we can talk here without danger of getting the swine flu.

MizT.... there is a Swine Flu epidemic right now. That's what you're hearing about. I am pretty certain that I have the flu, but don't know what kind.
After posting this morning, I fell asleep and just woke up. Still haven't gotten dressed.

Woooooo Hooooo my computer has been up and running for over an hour now without freezing. Only thing I can put it down to so far is they left a disc in my CD drive with 50,000 drivers on it.

Broni, the stuff I'm doing now is so I can go into a school for a five week practicum (5 weeks unpaid work!). After I do that I have to write another paper, plus do stuff along the way, and then I can apply to be a teacher.... assuming I pass the prac of course!

I plan on giving the Doctor's office a call i the morning, tho' if it is the flu, It'll have to run it's course.

Just home from a walk and hubby turned his pooter on, so here I am!

I like it Gail! Bit windy for a walk up this way. I think I might try to get on the exercise bike instead... maybe

Al did bit of maintenance on my puter this afternoon. I think he ate ALL the cookies! I had to sign in to sudoku again, and my favorite cities on my weather site are gone. That is only the first 2 places I have been, aaaaaaaagggh! I was signed out of skype earlier, forgot that. Wonder what else I gonna find???

Nup puter died again, back in hospital aparently it has a serious attitude, how does a puter have attitude? Oh well will just have to wait and see.

Nope, Broni, Computer cookies, those bits of information stored on your computer so things like identity and passwords are shared with the sites you frequent. Made me feel a bit nervous when sudokuland did not know me

Have got over my hissy fit about the puter. Computer corner now sparkling clean and no puter!
Spare Bedroom and bathroom now fit for human inhabitance, even the other spare bedroom could be inhabited if you like boxes of stuff!

Way to get over a hissy fit Broni! Wish I used that technique....

Rely on procrastination Zusy, once there is a deadline I excel at getting things done...at the last minute hehe!
