Good thanks Suzanne. Sorry to hear you had such a sh!t night. I have not been able to sleep in since I had kids, so I am always the first one up. This morning, I came in here and had a look around Sudokuland, then went into the kitchen to make a cuppa. Imagine my shock to find my youngest one up! She was the one who made me go back to bed. I shouldn't have mocked her brekky offerings, I really appreciated the thought.

Vici: It's pretty here today too! We've had highs in the 60's lows in the 40's at night.

I have been live tracking mum's Plane, it has crossed the coast half way up West Australian, the plane is running 20 mins late.. Will be leaving shortly to go to the airport.

Gil is back, and in a foul mood. Apparently, our phone has been out of order for the last day and a half. I hadn't noticed. I can't stand phones, they are a necessary evil, so I rarely use 'em.

Hi just got back on line after a power outage. This only lasted an hour but getting the broadband back took a further hour and a half

Got up this morning to find that we have a problem with our fish pond. Something has punctured the pondliner and it is now leaking. We have decided to re home the fish and fill the pond in and make it into a raised f;ower bed. The pump/filter/ultraviolet light needs replacing too so it was going to cost quite a lot of money to put right.

A very late Happy Mother's Day. Sounds like you all had a lovely day. I have been at D1 ones place for a few days. All the family (Ken's Mother Sister and her family) for Mother's day and I went up early to help my daughter get the house clean (and took Laura). D#1 has been very busy with school work (teacher) and was away all the previous weekend. Has acreage and animals so time spent elsewhere other than housework!
We had a nice day but I must say all the Mother's in their thirties sat and waited for the Mothers around 70 (one over, two just under)to prepare and dish up the food. (We did have a BBQ and the men cooked the sausages).
D#1 spent her time giving the kiddies horse rides!

I know who is coming and hope she will be staying here if she gets to Sydney.

Pleased to hear Ebob's baseball is improving Suzy.
Hope all the migraines are getting better.
Stella, busy driving as usual and hope you daughter enjoys her trip to Turkey.

Empty house!

I love that turn of phrase June.. It sounds like you had a busy weekend. My mother was never a very good cook so she watches us prepare and then helps clean up. Maybe you should 'forget' your cooking skills? I didn't get to see Mum this weekend, but did talk to her a couple of times. She did a market and sold a few paintings so had a good day.

Suzy, I think we will re-home four of the fish with a new family, one which is a fancy black'goldfish' will go into a tank we have which is big enough for it.

Brrrrr.....

I know for you people who live in the snow I am just a whimp, but I am really not enjoying going out in 6C and 8C temps to feed horses and hang clothes on the line! I know the swishy thing has finished another load, but DON'T WANNA go out there!

I admit it, I'm a whimp.

JUNE, I know about the next generation waiting on 'MOM' to do it all. Now, one way to get them moving is to all of you be sick one holiday! Happened this last Thanksgiving. My sister had Mono, and I was just on new meds and so dizzy I could not function. Her daughter and DIL did it all, first time ever.

Am here but only briefly. Hubby and I are going to the movies today to see Star Trek...did I fail to mention my hubby is a trekky? Please don't hold it against him, he is lovely anyway!

June, next year, claim a moratorium on senior mothers doing anything, although you must state this early, as the younger generation need to get themselves into an absolute tizzy about it!

Had a lovely day yesterday, even without telephonic communication with the outside world! Son and his girlfriend came over for dinner last night, and there were no fights between any of the kids! All in all, a good day.

Hubby tried to convince me to go yesterday Gail! We're both trekkies...

I'm ambivalent about it Suzy, but if he's suggested we do something, I'm up for it!
