Heidi, I'm glad you got a diagnosis and treatment for your allergic reaction. Feel better soon.
Suzy, it's so nice to hear that Ebob has a head on her shoulders and is confident enough to give good advice.
Broni, I hope the space where your tooth used to be is feeling better and healing beautifully!
Suzy, mmmm, banana bread! Even better when still warm from the oven!
Now, I really MUST get to bed! Good Night!
Shar/Madby, I hope your little guy feels better soon.

Hi everyone - had a good visit with Mum today. DIL and Chloe came with me and Mum was delighted to have the little one around and let us go without a problem. These are the days when I enjoy my visit with her.

About my earlier post, firstly I'm sorry to post something like that and just disappear. I had barely hit submit when DIL and Chloe arrived.
I don't feel that I need counselling at this stage in my life. I'm 61 and it's not something I dwell on, although I did as a child and definately needed some then. In those day it was swept under the carpet - if you don't talk about it, it'll go away. It gave me sleep problems and fear of death problems. But I put it into perspective long ago.
It was just that writing it down and thinking about it gave me an eerie feeling and I saw the whole scene with a clarity I would never have imagined 52 years later!!
I am fine, I have a healthy mind and all is well.
But
thanks for caring!

Thank you Rolanda and sorry MizT - life getting in the way!
Hi Cyn, glad to hear your visit went well! I bet you had to prepare Chloe just in case, and it's great it wasn't necessary.

Suzy - I think it was Chloe who did the trick. Mum was just so enthralled by her that when I said we had to get her home she let us go happily. Chloe is so gentle with her, which you wouldn't believe if you'd seen her take to Poppy with a fly swat an hour later. I took a photo, on my mobile, but it will have to wait until Col has time to download it before I can post it.

Hi Mamacita, Hi Julie! Bye Mamacite, Bye Julie!
Giggling at the idea of Chloe attacking her grandfather with a fly swatter! Ow Ow Ow! Aren't kids amazing sometimes? So astute when you least expect it.

What amazed me about her Suzy - she had only been to see Mum once before but she knew exactly where we were heading, unlocked the gates (keypad) for us etc. Smart little cookie.

Hello all, thanks for all the concern about my gum.
Yep Cyn you have a good head on your shoulder but it is strange when we look at the past and realise how far we have developed over the years.
Still have not heard from Shar, but Linda is a definite!
Good to see Mama posting, hope your breathing is getting better and you are scooting around town in your scooter.
Yep craft has the rest.

We had Apricot Chicken last night.
Tonight was crumbed chops, not fried this time, trying to cut out fried foods, so I did it in the oven, sorta like roasting temp.

They can't eat cake as we don't have any in the house. We are all on diets so no cake or biscuits in the house. However I received an email this morning for what I hope is a nice chocolate cake recipe.

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
A small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts.
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).
And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world ?
Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

I haven't tried this yet and having looked at the ingredients there seems an awful lot to go into a coffee mug. I would use that sort of quantities of flour, sugar and cocoa powder in a cake tin rather than a mug.

I might have to try sleeping in the recliner chair which will keep me sitting up. I would be OK if I could stop the coughing.
