June, my kids take peanut butter to school. It wasn't banned (but kiwi fruit were), and as far as I know it isn't banned at their high school as I haven't heard anything.

Hope the colds are getting better.
Glad to hear Mike's hand is better.
Gail, sorry to hear you have hubby home extra days...
MizT, I think bourbon tastes and smells like dirty dish water!
Off to baseball today, it's probably the last game of the junior season so we are all going.

Morning Gail!
We use a taco type topping for our baked taties.

Another wonderful suggestion Suzy.

Shouldn't have said something negative about hubby being home the extra days, that was silly of me. I cherish every day I have him with me.

No, I know exactly what you meant. It's great to have them around, but the old routines are disrupted and it takes some getting used to.

Gail, I agree with Suzy, I knew what you meant too. I had quite a long period of having Richard work from home. It was lovely having him there but not having the place to myself at all was trying.

Suzy I bet you looked stunning in your dress.
At one point my girls rarely wore skirts or dresses, even though (in my opinion) they looked so much nicer in dress/skirts.

We have now finished going through all the boxes in the attic. We have disposed of a lot of stuff which we had been hoarding.
Last box we went through was a box of photographs from my parents home. These brought back a lot of memories.

Congratulations Brenda! I bet it feels great to have it all done. And the memories would have been wonderful.

I'm off, should have left 5 minutes ago to get Ebob to baseball on time and I'm still wearing tracky dacks.... Have a great day all!

Wow Brenda, well done for getting through the attic. A huge achievement.
I bet going through that last box was hard. Having just gone through Mum's things, it was with mixed feelings. I couldn't get over the things she had kept. There was a postcard there from me must have been from when I was about 12.
Some things made me smile and others choked me up.

Brenda - there's nothing like old photos to bring out the nostalgia.
Bananas - CRAFT has got me but someone said they hate bananas and cannot even touch them. My daughter was/is like that but since going on her diet she had to try eating them. She now can manage a small one but it has to be exactly just ripe. If it's over ripe she feels sick. I hate the smell of over-ripe bananas.

Vici - how lovely to see you posting. Glad Mike's hand is much improved.
Gail - understand just what you mean by having hubby home and upsetting routines. I've had that a lot in recent months and have had days where I get nothing accomplished because he's under my feet. I'm so glad his business is picking up well. I love him but now I have FREE time.
MizT - yes butterscotch Schnapps is a winter drink - anything cold is a summer drink!

One last thing - Tami - not sure if anyone answered your question but my opinion is that if the TOPPs list stopped, so would the competition and therefore the top of the page would be no more exciting than any other position on the page.
So I vote - No more TOPPs lists.

Time for brunch I think. D#3 had a friend stay over last night and I got a rousing course of 'YUM' when I mentioned pancakes soon. They will have sweeties, but hubby and I are going to have savoury ones. We will fry up a melange of bacon, red onion and tomato, then put that into the middle of the crepe and roll it up...now that is yum!

No thanks Gail, thanks for the offer of making me a pancake before I leave for Mandurah..
But I have to leave room for lunch.

Cyn, you are the only person who has given feedback on the TOPP's list. I will wait a day or two and see if anyone else offers an opinion. For those who forget, should I continue to post a TOPP list or just let it go??
I am the one who hates bananas. I will touch them, I buy them for hubby and S2, I just prefer NOT to touch them.

Oh Gail, I do love pancakes - with maple syrup! That's what one set of my grandies insist on when they have sleepovers here. The others like croissants.
Usually I have an Aldi breakfast cereal bar, a piece of fruit and a cuppa.

We did not tell the boys about the game. We parked at the stadium and told the boys that the movie theater was on the other side. We asked Mitchell to hold the "movie" tickets. When he read them, he started jumping for joy. It was Boston Red Sox VS Baltimore Orioles. The Orioles have spring training in Ft. Lauderdale. We had good seats and Mitchell was able to get a few autographs from the Orioles. My hubby grew up an Orioles fan as he lived just outside Baltimore. The weather was great, slightly cloudy. Just enough so it wasn't quite so hot. Cannot stand going to baseball games in the summer when it is 90 degrees outside.

So far, I have 2 no's and 1 don't care about the TOPP list. I will wait a day or so and see what the rest want. I don't care either, which is why I am trying to stay at zero.

Tami, I think people will still enjoy getting a TOPP at times but I do not really think we need to keep count. You, and Suzy and Rolanda before you did a great job but I think we have now moved on.

Hi everyone! Lots to read today -
Gail, so glad your sister is doing well.
All the recipes/menus sound great - some inspiration for dinner! Did anyone mention peanut butter with honey? - we always had this. I gave it to my kids, until one day my daughter asked for peanut-butter-and-honey-sandwich without the honey! Then my son immediately asked for peanut-butter-and-honey-sandwich without the peanut-butter! I had to explain to them that what she wanted was a peanut-butter sandwich, and what he wanted a honey sandwich - I felt a bit embarrassed, as they didn't seem to realise that sandwiches came in different flavours! Oops!

Night MizT

Julie, I sent a text message to her yesterday and got a positive reply. She was already home so things must have gone well. She will be off work for the next week, so I will go across town and visit her. Apparently, the dressing has to be on for a couple of months but she said she had a sneak peek at the scar, her response - AWESOME!

Rolanda, that lunch sounds wonderful! I bet you all had a great time.
Tami, what a wonderful way to suprise your kids! It would have added to the fun in an exciting way.
Tami, people love getting TOPPs with or without the count so I don't mind either way.
That's 4 colds now - hope they are all starting to get better.
Brenda, when I got back to Australia Mum gave me a suitcase of things from my childhood she had kept for me. There were things I had forgotten even happened, it was an amazing trip down memory lane. Though I'm now convinced I was brain damaged in my accident as there were photos showing me doing things I still can not remember happening, even with photographic evidence!

Evening everyone.

Had a lovely day with Anne and her sister Lyn, Colleen and Mary.
Found a noice place to have lunch over looking the water and boats.
After Mary left for home, we went for a meandering walk around the shops and along the pathways.
Stopped for icecream, continued our meandering walk, stopped for Cappuccinos.
Then said goodbye to Anne and Lyn back at their abode, and headed home.
