It seems that SA7 is getting old and slow. It is time for a new page. Welcome to SA8.

I'm feeling better now. i just got back from a trip to Nashville, to visit a Gouldian Finch breeder.
I learned a lot about breeding them, and I came home with 2 babies.

Yee Haa - hello Heidi!
Good morning lovely SA8 people.
Glad you liked my YouTube - as I said dedicated to you lovely people.
I turn on my pooter, check emails, then a quick run through Easy before I come to SA to relax!
THEN - I do anything else that needs to be done - after I've caught up here and if there's a lively conversation or I want to get something off my chest, I stay here. All else can wait.

Broni - how did your trip out into the bay go? Did you see any oil slick from the spill. I heard on the news this morning that the spill is affecting tourism in Qld.

Hi Gail, Heidi and Cyn.
Cyn, yes it was a beautiful day out there, lots of sail boats out and about too, took the long way arond Green Island so no where near where the oil spilled, guess that is why there were so many boats around there. Think Morton Island might be affected pretty bad but they have cleaned up most around the Sunshine Coast I think.

Hi Broni - yes we were down at Cleveland Point yesterday and saw all of those sail boats - we wished we'd had our camera. It would have been a nice day to be out there. Even though the oil spill is bad, it hasn't affected our tourist areas and the clean-up is well under way.

Gday Brenda, just saw your question from earlier. The weatehr here today is quite chilly as a matter of fact. I have a cardi on over a long sleeve spencer, and last night I put the second quilt back on the bed! Who would have thought only a few weeks ago, we had record high temps! We have had lots of beautiful rain, in fact there was so much on the weekend they were warning about the possibility of mudslides on the burnt mountains. What a crazy world we live in.

Twas not...what game? Bejewelled???
Brenda, in answer to your second question (that I noticed when I turned the page!), there are a couple os reasons why hubby is staying home more, but the main one is that his business partner is actually moving interstate in April and will only be coming to the factory once a month. Hubby reckons if it's good enough for the other bloke, it's good enough for him!

Ok, not here again. Hubby, D#1 and I are going out for a little while...to Aldi! What an outing!
D#1 is home because she gets Sunday and Monday off.
D#3 went to school with a very sore throat this morning and hubby has the sniffles. Told them all to stay away from me!
Rolanda, wouldn't it be wonderful if the states could compromise on the weather!
Bye all, catch you later.

Hi everyone. Just stopped in for a quick hello. I hooked up with an old friend of hubby's on facebook today. He already accepted and sent us a nice message. The boys are up here watching tv so I won't be around long.

I have also decided, since it seems not many care about the TOPP list, I will keep track but will only post it if someone asks or when I get around to it, whichever comes first.

There are 10 all together. Mostly unrelated. That should be a good start for a breeding program.
Bonnie is going to the home of the head of our Rescue group on Tuesday. The person who's interested in her will be meeting her on Wednesday. She's also looking at two other, younger dogs. If she doesn't take Bonnie, Bonnie comes back here a few days later. I'm crossing my fingers here.

Good afternoon SA8. It has been so nice to finally have rain in Melbourne, and the last bushfire is out. Haven't visited much lately, I am deeply involved in making baby blankets for new babies coming into my life in the next few months (including my first grandchild)- hours go by and I don't even notice. I love it!
Heading to Sydney Friday for a couple of weeks. Have a great day everyone, hope you are all fit and well.

Hello Kate.
I must apologise, I missed you on my list of SA people who I dedicated my YouTube to last night - top of page 58. My humblest apologies - as I said in that post, I knew I'd forgotten someone.

You had me worried there, Heidi, but I found her in the list after eaa and Vici.
Are you keeping your fingers crossed that Bonnie finds a new home or that you get her back?
Must off to the bank now, great to see you back - now for some of the others to return.

I want Bonnie back. I have asked if I can adopt her if this person doesn't. I didn't think anybody would want her. She was badly abused, and is afraid of men. I've been working with her a lot, and she's better than she was, but she's very happy here. I worry about her in a strange environment.

Hi all!
Cyn, not having had grandchildren I found it hard to believe it's better than having your own, but I thought about what you said and I'm thinking you might be right! All the gorgeous cuddles and watching them grow, but no sleepless nights, arguments about the rules, nagging about dinner (sure, you can have ice cream for dinner)..... yep, grandparent has significant advantages over parent!!!
