Suzy, a voice develops with practice and training. She'll only get better each time she sings. The important thing is that she likes to sing on her own and already has a good amount of experience. There is a 16 year old girl on American Idol who is doing very well. She had a lot of experience singing at various community events which makes her more comfortable on stage.

Stella, good luck with the second opinion on your shoulder. That has been hanging on for what, months? Close to a year? I agree, time for a second opinion. hopefully a easy fix too.

June, all my favorites in your meal, well, not sure about Balmain bug, no idea what that is, but I could have separated those out All that seafood, Creme brule and strawberries? Heavenly!!

Thanks Mr Google, I can eat those bugs! bring them on hehehe

VIV, I like candles too but I do not do pricey.

Broni, getting the weekend started right?

HI BEAN, yes, they let me back on here. Imagine that.

Stella, the main reason I encourage Ally is that singing makes her smile. I once asked her if she had to give up one of her activities which would it be... bowling she likes to see R & N (girls), netball she likes to see P & H (more girls), and singing, well then she couldn't sing... say no more!!

Stella, rain again, but my hurty went out the door when that storm came through yesterday morning. I do wish I knew the cause, so I could be prepared. It is not just rain, it's pouring buckets again for the last 8 hours, but I feel good. Go figure.

It was a cold front coming through yesterday morning, it has turned and returning as a warm front, but with little change in temps. there has to be something I am missing about the why here.

hmmm MizT, warm front approaching? I wish knowing would stop the pain from coming, though knowing it might happen would at least prepare you...

I'm off to bed... WAY past my bedtime.

Night all!

Apologies to SUSAN, this is in no way akin to your flooding. But it is far enough from the norm to merit comment.

Yesterday on our way to Wal mart, we had to turn around and find a different route. Road closed near main road, due to water. this 10 hours after the rain stopped! This creek is the one that floods most often.

With another 8 hours of steady rain already and rain till afternoon forecast, we might have no way out soon. There is a creek/drainage ditch that goes across our road. It takes a major event for water to get out of banks there, but this is a major event! Our road is the only way out for about 25 families. I hope the latest flood control work has got that creek cleared enough to keep it flowing and not flooding.

Then tonight and tomorrow, possibility of TORNADOES, enough already.

SUZY, if I knew, yes, could start the meds before it got so very bad. It is easier to prevent pain than to eliminate it once it gets severe.

All. Nasty headache this morning. I'm about to take some Excedrin for it.
It's dark and gloomy here, MizT, but we're having a break in the rain. Fortunately, those tornados are supposed to stay south of us. I'm sorry for you. We're only supposed to get thunderstorms here.

Morning all! Call me Steve cause this is a flying visit... Off to Ebob's first baseball game with the seniors! Well, she's played with women before, but this is with the men. I don't think she'll do very well - swimming and 4 games of bowling on Thursday night, 3 games of bowling last night.... She'll be exhausted! Hopefully not so tired that she won't have fun though.

Good morning. Looks like another nice autumn day. I might get the out side furniture painted. Have been preparing it the last few days. Must have it looking nice for the BBQ. Some of it I have been promising to do for about 10 years!
Tricia, do you have a barometer? I think you might find it is the drop in atmospheric pressure that affects your arthritis.
Hope Ebob enjoys playing in the men's team.I have seen quite a few girls hold their own in that situation.

Stella, hope you finally sort out the problem with your shoulder. You have had more than enough health problems in the family lately so hope everything soon improves.

Things are starting to get better in our household and we have decided to have a couple of weeks in Tasmania after Easter. It will be so nice to get away.

Balmain Bug, (Ibacus peronii)
The Balmain Bug is a type of slipper lobster and is closely related to the rock lobsters. It has no pincers and uses its short, wide antennae to dig into sand and mud on the ocean floor in search of food.

The Balmain Bug is a popular, edible crustacean common throughout Sydney fish markets and local fish shops.

Thanks for the info Broni. I will eat crabs but the name "bugs" does NOT make them sound appetizing.
