To the rest of the Topsiders.
I remembered a little while ago that I forgot to have supper! So I cooked up a tender steak
and plumped a pile of cranberry fruit relish on my plate, and I'm happily munching away.

I got my overseas cards and parcels done today. Cost a fortune in postage so think I may cut back a bit next year. Some things cost more to post than they did to buy..........and I kept them small and light!
2 small parcels, 6 calendars, 15 cards cost over $70.
I have about 50 more 'local' cards to do so hope to get them done by the end of the week! I did a lot last night but have other things to organise tonight!

Oh Heidi, eating dinner at 1:40am????
Goodnight Heidi, Julie and Mariana.
Thank you Mariana for you kind thoughts but you must remember this is my second Christmas, my first Christmas was joyous with a few tears considering both JD and his mum passed away within months of each other. My BIL (who I was concerned about as he had lost all his family) and cousin both came over and we started the day with oyster shooters which helped ease us into the day. We reminisced, laughed about the good times and feasted on prawn cocktails, then cold ham, chicken, crabs and salads as it was a very warm day. WE toasted friendships past and present then other friends joined us in the afternoon and the day passed pleasantly. JD's daughter, husband and our first grandchild came to visit on boxing day and that was a good day for all of us again. So Mama try to remember the good times and be happy that you had that time together, some have never known the happiness we have experienced.

Evening all!
I'm aching all over! It was parents vs the kids at netball tonight and I managed to pull a couple of muscles and land on my knee. Proves my point that people my age shouldn't exercise!!

June, my English friend has the same problem. Last year she mailed presents, this year she is mailing money to some. She has an arrangement with others - they put money under the tree for the kids and say it is from her, she puts money under the tree for her kids and says it is from them!

There was one mother who was a great shooter, a tall father who just reached over the kids heads and got the ball, and a bunch of sneaky tactics that kept the refs whistle blowing...

Still a bit whoozy Brenda.
Thanks to all for asking and your kind thoughts.
She said it hadn't affected her appetite, so I take that as a sign of normalcy! Her head still hurts a little, so more water and a couple of pain pills. Will check on her in a bit.
She has a year break-up of the club she is in at school tomorrow, a breakfast. She wants to go to that, so I said if she felt crook still at lunchtime when she is back at school to give me a ring.

Gail. Hope you daughter is well soon.
The weather here has been so hot, that I have taken to drinking a litre of water at lunch instead of coffee.
We had a huge storm last night and it has rained heavily all day which dropped the temp from 33-20 now.Much more bearable.

Good Morning sudokuland! since I am sleeping better, it seems I miss everyone, epically the Aussies. did not make it on here last night, hubby came in for dinner and said there was a good movie on the networks last night. Hallmark Hall of Fame presentation, " Head of the Class". A very good movie, glad we got to watch it!
Thank you for the lovely comments on my photos. I enjoyed taking them and sharing with you all.
Doctor's appointment this afternoon, lets see what he wants to change with my meds this time! I must go to library also, books are over due, I forgot when it was time to take them back in, bummer.
At least I have planned over dinner tonight, I will not be wanting to cook when I get in. the wait at his offices is long, always. That is how it is for the good doctors it seems.
I will be around for a while, hope to see some of the topsiders. Hugs to all,

Wow...lots to comment on since I was last here a few hours ago.
Broni ... how true ... many people never get to experience what you and mama had. It is hard to be grateful for that though when you miss them so much.
Mariana... I am not surprised you are feeling melancholy...that is why we love you...because you are so generous and caring. There but for the grace of god....
Nola it is lovely to see you looking so festive..
Suzy I would have loved to have seen that game...what a hoot! Those poor umpires...bet their cheeks were sore from all the whistle blowing at the end of that match!
