MORNING VICI, yes a lot to atch yp on overnight, good luck reading it all.

Mariana' so nice of you to help that family. I hope some long term help can be found them. Being illegal makes their job situation iffy, for sure. If those children wee born here, and therefore citizens, isn't it easier to get the parents identity papers? I know that was the caseof a family here. Husband was legal, children were born here, but he would not let wife get papers, he had more "control" of her by saying if she did notdo this or did that, he would turn her in as illegal and she would loose the children. Other family members took her and and got her papers for her and it was not difficult being the mother of 3 American born citizens.

I put Bing Crosby's "White Christmas" on my page. I love the song and the movie (watched with the kids over Thanksgiving and they loved it too) but I also put it up as a tribute to those soldiers who have to spend the holiday away from their families.

Vici, is your avatar cookies in the shape of stockings or real stockings? Very cute! Which reminds me, I need to make cookies for the mother's meeting at school.

The baby shower on Saturday was fun. In order to keep everyone involved when the gifts were opened, we played present BINGO. Before she opened the gifts, you had to fill out the bingo sheet by guessing all of the gifts you think she would be getting. It was fun and I got bingo. Won a beautiful vase!

We stayed at my sister's and went to church, breakfast and shopping at Trader Joe's on Sunday morning. It was nice. The drive back (5 hours) was very windy. It felt like we were driving in a hurricane the whole time! I thought the wind would ease up, but it never did. It's still windy this morning. It's 2F (30 degrees below freezing) but with the wind chill it feels like -15F! Brrrr!

Stella - the Bingo gift opening game is so clever! Sounds like you did well!
I, too, just changed my youtube...the Celtic Women's Carol of Bells. So much great holiday music to choose from!

I need to go listen to Christmas music on pages!

Mariana - I thought of you so much last night as I attended the Madrigal Dinner. Such fabulous music from young people and a fiddler that blew my socks off.
...and as I was filled with thoughts of you, you were drained by difficulties.
I, too, have many to pray for - you and your friend and the family you helped.
Of course, like the rest of you, Rayray continues to be on my mind and in my prayers.

Oops - just read I needed to draw that hot bath to sooth the aches of Suzy, too! (and I always think of Heidi and all her heavy work when I'm drawing these baths!)
June - it appears I need to draw some money out of the bank for you! NOT!
Sorry, but I'm headed out tomorrow to send a package overseas, too, and now am wondering how pricey it will be!

vici-i'm glad you had a good time at the concert.
broni- i did remember that it is your second season on your own. my sister lost her hubby to a car accident, oh about 11 years ago now. she remarried two years later and found great joy. however, it took about 5 years for her to be a peace with his death. so, sorry, you will have to put up with a few more years of me thinking about you during the holiday season!
