Suzy...Getting older is a wonderful reason to celebrate....as Bronti said..its better than the alternative...plus as you age,you become more aware of yourself, and usually learn to treat yourself better...life is good! Happy Birthday...Enjoy it to the max!

June, I mailed the international cards and the family cards today. I still haven't written the rest of the Aussie cards.

GAIL!!! "He's fallen in the water!" Little Jim! You know the Goons!!! Finally.... someone who understands silliness!

My parents always listened to the Goon Show on the radio when I was a kid. I never appreciated it then but I did as i grew up - but, unlike Gail, I can't remember enough of it to quote it!!

hehe My stepmother always listened to The Goons on a Saturday when I used to go to Dad's place. Also 'My Word' and 'My Music'.
Will never forget the My Word show that had to use the word Supercali etc etc in a sentence...the guy said it was his shopping list. His wife wanted a large cauliflower and several other things, but all I can remember is it became a supercauli etc etc!

Have always loved British humour.

June...I have never put macadamias in my pud...sounds like a nice idea. I make a different one every year...have probably told you all this before [which won't bother fellow CRAFT sufferers]..the idea was to find the perfect pudding and kept track of them for a few years and had them all rated and now that I am losing the plot..he he....I've forgotten what I have and haven't done because I can't find my list ...it is in a box somewhere.....
I think I've left it too late to boil one in calico ...I like to have them hang for quite a long time to age before eating...

One year my sister, myself and a neighbour got together to make a pudding in a cloth...none of us had done it before and it was a lot of fun ...there is definately a knack to tying the knots so it doesn't all come undone and slip of the broom handle that is suspending it over the cooking pot!!!!

Steady rain falling at the mo, and supposed to continue right through the weekend...of course!

Hubby and I went out today, being as it is Friday and all, and got about half the pressies done. Now just have to help Santa with some ideas for the stockings.

I left it way too late (my mind was on other things) and there are NO advent calendars left in Melbourne!!! Guess who it is that is pouting because they didn't get one this year, one of the older kids...sorry, ADULTS!

Have just read the news about Rayray...wonderful that we now know which void he disappeared to...not so good that he has a burst appendix...good that he is now recovering! Thank you B & B..... you're the best!!

He had a ruptured appendix. He's in the Hospital, and doing better.

Thank you for the immediate update, Heidi. That is good/bad/good news. Good that he has been "found," bad that he had a ruptured appendix, and good that he is doing better. Thank you! Well...that took a while to catch up my reading to date....
Right now I wish I had more rainwater tanks...they would be filling nicely!
My plants are loving it. Hope it keeps up for days.
