i am here avoiding the real work that needs to be done. i had a huge list a typed up, but i erased it. it is too embarrassing the amount of stuff to be done, and yet i am here instead. you all should be ashamed of me!

Thank you for all the birthday wishes! Look at that - I share today with Tami's son, Lindy from Townsville, my niece, my cousin, hubby's boss's boss, and the son of the lady I met while buying a turkey yesterday!

June - I could do with that box of period clothing for the Xmas party tonight! 'Come as you were when the boat went down' is the official theme. I'm thinking I was wearing jeans at the moment!!!

Brenda - at the last minute I decided to keep my regular coffee date this morning. My logic was that they can use that time to bake me a cake! I had to come up with some excuse...

Morning June and Mamacita! This week I will have to get organised as my mother will be arriving soon and at the moment there is nowhere for her to sleep. We set up this room as her room - bed, TV, lounge, table etc etc. It becomes almost like a mini apartment and she can have friends visit etc.

I AM COLD. I fed early, in flurries and high winds. I had to help IH move the creep feeder (I'll explain that later), so we could feed hay to the cows on concrete instead of deep mud. IH promptly lost an important pin used to stabilize one side of it. Without it, the feeder cannot be used. I think he gets dumber every day. (I need to get a smilie showing me beating my head against a wall).

I think it's hot chocolate with marshmallows time.

I fed early 'cause IH offered to give me a rain check on that restaurant meal. That's tonight.... AFTER he finds that pin!

Just dropping in to say I got the best present ever - a phone call from June!!!!

You have honoured your friend by going to the visitation. I love those slide shows of photos though, always a giggle or two to be had.

Thank you to all who wished Choe a Happy Birthday. She enjoyed her party last night including the 'Baby Born' that Nanny and Poppy gave her. She fell asleep sitting watching Kung Fu Panda at 9pm. while the adults were playing some ridiculous 80's music trivia game.

Sounds like a good time was had by all.
