YAY! Daughter has amended her plans. Father of friend has suggested that they not go to the Carols by Candlelight held in the next town. It's so wet out there, they couldn't light a candle anyway!
He has suggested the three kids go over there and watch movies. Unfortunately, he hasn't offered for it to be a sleep-over, so when I told Hannah that 10.30 was as late as I felt like coming out to pick her up, she left a bit miffed...TOUGH!

Evening all! Ebob got 2nd, Ally got 3rd, Ebob got highest series handicap, they both got perfect attendance and Ally also got the door prize and a prize for bowling the lowest girl’s game today. A good haul!

Ebob decided she was too tired of being out to want to go to her presentation night, and no report cards came home today.

Just remembered one pudding was still cooking!!!!
1 1/2 hours extra, but will be OK.
Bean, in the recipe I use I substitute the almonds with macadamias. Gives a completely different flavour and is very nice.

Suzy, I am running out of room to put boxes AND I am finding boxes I have filled with stuff to be sorted later and it has never been done!!!!
I have six large plastic containers (30x40x60cm) filled with period clothing apart from all the other material, wool, craft, papers etc.
Anyway the cards are all ready to go in the post box, puddings and cake cooked, most shopping done so I guess I will cope with the rest!

June is this a favourite family recipe handed down over the years? Is the pudding you are cooking in a bowl or a cloth?

Bean, it is just one I picked up at a Healthy Life store some years ago. I use a basin but can be cooked in a cloth. There is enough to make two puddings.I found this one tasted nice so I have stuck with it .

Good Maen Sudokuland?!

Coffee is on, come have a cup this cold sunny morning! I have clothes to put on the line, and a dishwasher that needs run, something to cook for dinner, and clean that kitchen floor once again, I am a messy cook and there is always something falling to the floor. Today it is oats, spilled a few when opening the box, silly me!

Broni - saw you pop in on Easy and was hoping you would stop by. Have a good night and a pet for Bella.

MzT - I was thinking of you when I took out that casserole last night...remembering all the meals you froze before your surgery.
It was a noodle bake that was one of my childhood favorites (made with ground turkey meat rather than beef, tho). Anyhooo - I made 2 seperate smaller versions and froze them for future use. Made dinner very simple last night...and I cooked fresh green beans, too!

Crab was only $3.50 a pound so I picked up a couple plus a sourdough baugette (lemons and butter) for tonight. Dungenous crab is always a holiday treat for us!

Judy - I was just giggling away at your fun posts...sorry Gail beat you to the TOPP.
Gail - NO ADVENT CALENDARS???!!! I hate when that happens. Those calendars are like the stockings to me - precious childhood joys that I love to revisit every year.

I think I know now why my skin is so itchy. We have all been treated with cream for scabies and that is probably what has upset the psoriasis.
Glad Ray is doing well now.
Hope it is the last of the mono you are feeling,Heidi.

I'm back from the Funeral Home. Raymond was unrecognizable to me, so it was hard to say goodbye to what looked like a stranger. In the foyer they had set up a screen and were showing a loop of about 150 photos of him from throughout his life. That was wonderful to see.

heidi- i feel for you going out in the freezing cold to feed a gagillion animals. i can't stand just going out to the cold car to take kids to school! oh, i saw a beautiful pheasant the other day. he was running across a fairly busy intersection! it had big long tail feathers and the white ring around its neck. i couldn't figure out what he was doing in town! i think pheasants are a wild bird around here, but i have never seen one in the wild. he sure was pretty though and i thought of you!
