Wall finished Vici, Wall unit cupboards now in the room and I have been carrying books in for hubby to sort and put in the cupboard. (HIS train books)
I might try and get more of the room painted when he goes away next week. There are lots of other jobs that need doing before I start that though.

Must think about hitting the sack here shortly.
I spent a while helping Ethan nut out ideas for some homework he is doing.
He wanted to do it in 'PowerPoint' but we could not get it to work out so have adapted what he wants to do in 'Word'.

Rolanda, I left computer on, I was not here, was asleep I promise. Well except for about 10 minutes when up for a visit to babbling brook. Had to see if LIZ got her avatar hehehe. she did, and Gath got it back to her pronto. I thought Noel the frog was just Liz, somehow!

Good morning all! Not too cold this morning, 34F! A cold front is moving in with some snow. Ian has his concert tonight. It's not at his school but at a concert/play hall called the "Egg" in Albany. It's a very nice concert.

Aww Broni - now you've upset me. I just came to turn off pooter for the night and find that you thought my previous avatar was a funny face. It was a wreath with a nativity scene. It was very cute but maybe didn't shrink clearly.
How's this one - another nativity scene.

Just caught up on reading.
I've had one of those days... started out taking my brother to railway station, then husband to opticians then on to railway station. during that time got a call from D#1 asking if I could take a memory stick to her school (she is a teacher) as it contains her lesson plans for today. On way back from there (20 mile drive) decided to do some shopping, half way through that got a phone call from brother asking if I could pick him up from the station (normally he would walk but he has a trapped nerve in his back). Picked him up, missed a phone call from D#2 school asking me to ring them about D#2's university application. Then got a call from my old 'boss' asking me if I had a code he needed to get on to a website. I had already sent these to the office, but of course he couldn't find it (to lazy to look more like it)
I'm sitting down now but will have to get on and feed a machine soon and maybe have some lunch.

MORNING SUDOLUKAND! I have been bouncing around the web looking at Maori art, trying to learn the name of the nonwoven fabric mat I have, sent to me several years ago. No luck yet on the name. I was told this type mat/fabric was used as table cloth, curtain, that type thing. I think it is pounded from flax, into a paper, fabric like thick and stiff kind of mat, that i s then painted in the Maori colors of red black and a tan or " white" color. anyway, I have such a piece and am trying to decide how to display it without damaging it. No not antique, made about 10 or 15 years ago and sent to me by a cyber pen pal. I "found" it again recently and need to take better care if it till I can hang it somehow. so that is where I have been this morning.

June... eggbid is different than eBay in one regard. If a seller doesn't see any interest early on, they'll sometimes sell the bird elsewhere. That has happened to me when I've waited to bid last minute. I now bid initially as soon as I decide that I want it. I frequently have to raise it later though. Eggbid RARELY has anyone do a last second bid.

Heidi some 'children' have no sense of time and the 'children' I assume you are talking about are the worst offenders.

Hi, Nola! I hope you sleep well! I love your avatars. The IRIS one is particularly cheerful! I hope you have a cooler day when you wake up!
Mariana - NINE loads of blankets? Whew! Plus your regular loads to stuff the machine! What a day! I keep wishing we had some way to sneak into your musical performances.
CynB, I really like your new avatars (manger scene in front of a wreath and manger scene on brilliant blue)! I'm not sure how many C avatars I've submitted. Decided to submit a bunch and see which ones look best on the page. Hope you have a warm and wonderful meet-up!

Vivacious Viv, what a great way for hubby to find a job - someone he already knows! I hope the new job works out well for him. I also like your idea of meeting up with others to surprise him. (Will they know it's his birthday?) Also, good luck with all the doctor visits next week! Continued success with Avon!
Broni, it's good to hear you survived another day with D & D!
Gail, remember, it's not required to read every page you missed - fun, but not required! Are things getting back to normal at your house?

Dizzy Lizzy, what a cute Noel the frog avatar! And great news from the tax man! I don't think I can help you with your shrinking of pictures, as I just use a program on my computer. First I check "attributes," which gives me the existing size, do a few calculations, then go to "shrink/stretch" (or something like that) and put in the percentage I think will work. Then I go back to check "attributes." If it comes out close (somewhere between about 48 and 52), I just put in the 50 by 50 and see what happens. If I like what I get, I save it. But I can actually see what I'm saving.
