That was one big wind you had and boy did the temps fall fast and hard. Thanks for posting that link. I am glad injuries were at a minimum. Gail, it must have been very unnerving for you. Yes, just so nothing comes through the roof right above YOU!

similar has been happening here. We had wind damage from something I had not heard of before, a 'gravity wave'. Happened this last Sunday, and some people in Birmingham are still without power on Wednesday morning. trees down on power lines, leaving over 100,000 in the dark.

Here is a link to the best explanation of a gravity wave I could find. this is current on this weather blog associated with one of the local TV station's weather reporting departments, but if you are looking later, you might have to scroll down to April 14, at 2:39 pm.

Good afternoon all! Home now and it's a gorgeous day! Sunny and 60F! I made it back in time for Ian's doctor's appointment at 11am. (left at 7:15am) He got his stitches out and can now shower. (Thank goodness!) He told them that his foot really hurt when they took out the stitches, so instead of being able to wear sneakers, he still has to wear the boot for 3 weeks! Of course, as soon as we get home he tells me his foot is ok. Too late though. He has to wait 3 weeks to get back to his activities because he has to have a doctor's release.

The tour went great. I even sold two young ewes to someone wanting to get started. It even stopped raining long enough to show the animals off!!!!! It never got above 45º F, though.
Now I get to go grocery shopping.....

Hi all. There was lots of interesting reading this morning.
I haven't any earth shattering news or even remotely interesting here.I will just be doing the usual around the house today, and popping in to see what you lovely people are up to.
Broni..looks like you have a good selection of statues and venues for Keith to see.

Oh, yeah..... Vivacious... That statue IS perfect for Keith. I can just picture him in the same position, next to it. But nothing can "top" his topless picture.

Decided to postpone the grocery shopping until tomorrow. I've had too busy a day.

News Article for Heidi:

VEVAY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - A Michigan farmer whose ewe gave birth to twins found himself carefully counting sheep when he later discovered three more lambs. The Lansing State Journal reported Tuesday that one of Paul Oesterle's Suffolk-mix ewes gave birth to quintuplets last week. Michigan State University sheep expert Alan Culham says the chance of that breed bearing the multiple litter is one in 10,000.

Oesterle, whose farm is southeast of Lansing, says he thought the ewe had given birth to twins but he found three more lambs when he checked the next day.

Oesterle says the ewe can't produce enough (milk) for all five babies so he has to help feed them every six hours.

I might be missing in action for a few day - going off later this morning to pick up 2 grandies, taking them to the movies (Pink Panther 2 - why do I do these things?) and they're staying the night. When I take them back tomorrow, I pick up Lachlan and he stays the next night. I won't be grandie free until late Saturday!!

On the last part of the second question Rolanda - though I'm a bit short of the word count in a couple of sections, I'm well over it in others so I figure it will balance out. It's an ungraded assignment so I've just got to get it handed in!!!!

MizT.... I've only had quints born once. Lots of quads, though. IH had 2 sets of quints born in one day in his goats, as well as 3 sets of quads. He freaked out. He had to supplement all of them.
