If puzzles are helping my brain, I can't imagine how bad my CRAFTs would be without them!!!

Morning Vici, you're up early! Yes, we split a piece of chocolate mousse cheesecake, but we actually couldn't finish it. We brought it home and finished it later. (although, I thought Jerry would let me have the rest of his as well, but he ate it!)

Hey Stella - guess being the birthday good is only good for so much chocolate mousse cheesecake where left-overs are concerned - hehe!

Suzy - I just need to compliment you on what an absolute cutie pie you are. Was just over at June's looking for her Tassie pics and caught a good view of you in the group photo from Keith's visit. Beautiful - I see where the girls get their good looks!

I really liked "State of Play." The ending was a little rushed. I didn't see a headline about the head congressman. It was hard to catch them all. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. One of the few movies that I didn't have the whole thing figured out in the first five minutes!

Suzy, beautiful picture of Ally! Her bangs look long to me. Glad she wasn't hurt by the breaking glass. Her heart must have been racing though!

I'm getting ready to head out for an early morning hike at a near-by park with my friend and her 3 dogs. It has finally stopped raining, so it should be lovely out there - everything (the dogwoods especially) all abloom.

A fast checking without reading, to say HERE I IS. We are in the dome for tornado warnings again today. Two days ago during a little t storm, we had a lightning hit, and we lost use of all our computers, our internet connection, and use of our TV. Al has been working nonstop to get electronics repaired. We now have internet and one computer, but unfortunately, it is on his workbench, where he is working on the others.

I will be on sporadically until he can get us up and running again.

Congrats Heidi - noticed that number right when the page came up - pretty cool.
MzT - stay safe...will be keeping good thoughts for you with the storms.
Just popping in for a moment - off to work in the yard. Still a bit overcast here, but suppose to be clearing. It's actually nice to work in the cooler weather.
VV - so glad to know you are feeling better...sleep well.

Morning all!
Grumpy this morning. I'm going to have my cholesterol tested later so can't have my coffee. Grrrr....

MizT, what a horrible couple of days you've had! Thank goodness your hubby can fix your electronics, or probably most/some of them. Will be thinking of you. Ally had to write 200 words last night imagining she was in a tornado. I told her she should send you a note but it sounds like you wouldn't have got it anyway!

Stella, that sounds like a wonderful birthday! We rarely had room for cheesecake when we went to the Cheesecake Factory so did the same thing - took it home for later... I couldn't believe it when Ally told me she thought her fringe was too short! I said 'but it's still in your eyes!', and she looked at me as if I were clueless.

Vici, I think I need one of those garden makeover shows to come out and fix my garden.

Hmmmm, a chocolate and cheesecake deficiency.... yep, I could handle that! Unfortunately I suspect I'm going to get the 'cut out the chocolate and cheesecake' lecture (again). My father died at 37 of a heart attack and I've inherited his cholesterol problems....

Greetings Sudokuland! Thanks to my genius of a hubby, I have a computer back on my desk in my bedroom . From the 3 damaged computers, he cobbled together 2 working computers. Not my computer with all my stuff, but I am not complaining, yet.

We think once again the lightning came in over the phone DSL lines. Things like modems, hubs, and routers, network cards were damaged on the 2 he got up and running. My computer had more damage, probably needs a motherboard and who knows what else. thankfully our hard drives and all information appears to be OK.

Heidi, you asked if we had had tornado warnings, yes, our county has had warnings several times the last few days, and the county that is less than 10 miles north of us, too. None were headed right at us, but close enough we were out in dome to be safe.

This morning, there was tornado and/or wind damage in the state again. More than trees this time, Buildings toppled, autos damaged. We had a bit of wind and rain here, but that is all. Still under a tornado watch till 9 pm.

I have only read this page, hope to get time to read the others and make comments, but I have a ton of e-mail to catch up on also. Thanks for the well wishes, and keep fingers crossed we are not back in the dome again 'fore the night is over. Enough already!

Suzy, could have added a bit to the report on tornadoes: The hail that pelts down when a tornado is just south of you. Seeing the ground covered solid white, then walking to your auto through flooded streets, carrying your shoes, your feet freezing from the run off melting ice.

the greenish tint of the sky, the stillness and silence just before one hits. The feeling of the hairs on the back of your neck standing on end. How dark it is at 3 pm. The unbelievable wind when a tornado passes within a couple of blocks of you, wind strong enough to pick you off your feet and toss you into a embankment. Papers and trash, dirt and sand, leaves and twigs whirling about you as you run up the steps to a safe building. How the door bangs open as you, your family and the wind make a fast entrance. How some people panic and some people calmly get everyone to the basement when you breathlessly speak the word tornado!

The fear after it is over, as you try to get home, and continually see destroyed houses, the trees across the streets. Fear that you will run over live electrical wires that snake and spark on the street. How scared you are when you realize the path of the tornado is straight toward your house.
