Thank you for the kind birthday wishes. It has been a very hot day here and quite humid so I am glad to have a nice air conditioned house to relax in this evening. i am going to catch up on some recorded programs on the TV - may sound boring but I am looking forward to it.

Sorry I am a bit tardy with this but I have been having a bit of a busy time with re-roofing of the house etc.

You know, it's pretty eerie really, at about the time you posted, Scott was holding Punchy Boy and I was giving him some chin music, saying 'This is from Vici' ... are you hearing the Twilight Zone music ...

Had a great couple of days, had all the girls here on Friday, a group effort making my birthday cake, a Tiramisu cake to die for, then everyone was here for dinner. Hannah made her own cake for her birthday, it is obscene! Vanilla icecream softened with all kinds of crushed and chopped lollies (candy for you weird Yanks!) layered with chocolate ripple biscuits!
Guess what I had for lunch today...

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you, I was thinking of you today as well while I was eating a TimTam (ok, more than one!).

I spent a quiet day at home for the Birthday, however, the weekend just gone, we ( P & I) were away in the Caravan, along with another couple, for 2 nights at a local Caravan Park.
Next Saturday, having the birthday dinner with the family at MIL's place.

Vici, re your 91 year old Dad's valve op on Friday - been there, done that. Tell him it's a breeze, I slept right through mine, didn't feel a thing. He'jj be OK.

Hang in there, girlfriend! When my dad had his quintuple heart bypass, the first week was iffy but by the second when he started complaining about the service in the hospital, well we knew he was getting to be his old onery self

Many ((((hugs)))) to you and all the best for your dad as he goes in to surgery! Wow, at 91, the rest of his health is probably very good if he can have surgery.

My 89 y.o. mom will be having surgery soon, too, for her knee replacement has gotten infected and must be taken out, IV antibiotics for several weeks, then a new knee replacement...

Hang in there! We'll keep our aged parents going as best as we can

Hello Vici - I am sorry to hear they have sent your dad home. My prayers are with him that it is an "all go" next week.

Vici, I hope your Dad's operation goes well and that his convalescence is brief and comfortable. I'll be thinking of you both on Friday.

Postponing, just might be as hard as waiting, for a procedure. I postponed my head fixing 3 times, by the time, it finally got done, I was worn out.
Best of luck, to your father and to you. It is great that you can be there for him.
